Iranian movie ‘3 Faces’ wins Cannes award for best script

Iranian movie ‘3 Faces’ directed by Jafar Panahi won the best script award at Cannes International Film Festival jointly with the Italian film ‘Happy as Lazzaro’.

Solmaz Panahi, daughter of Jafar Panahi, received the award on behalf of her father during the closing ceremony of the prestigious event. 

Earlier, Panahi grabbed Golden Camera award of Cannes Festival for his film ‘White Balloon’ in 1995.

Panahi’s latest film deals with life of three Iranian actresses, each of whom experience special conditions in their careers. Behnaz Jafari, Marzieh Rezaei and Maedeh Erteqaei played the three major roles.
